EDSC 432 - Advanced Science Methods for Secondary Education


Students will evaluate instructional materials to create learning environments and experiences that engage secondary students in 3D learning. The course will prepare students to incorporate interdisciplinary connections in science. Students will examine how secondary students make sense of scientific phenomena and data. Strategies for incorporating learning experiences that allow for iterative sense-making, providing evidence-based reasoning, effective questioning and grappling with alternative ideas will be emphasized. Equity and access will be a consideration in all learning practices. Typically offerd: Fall, Spring, and Summer
