Undergraduate Certificate
Adobe Creative Suite applications (In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) have become the creative tools of choice. The Graphic Production Solutions certificate will develop skills in creating digital documents for print production or multimedia and build a working knowledge in areas such as digital photography, illustration and document layout; learning various uses and application of portable document files; understanding how to market products with various print and digital media; constructing production-ready, one-to-one marketing materials; and building an understanding of packaging and brand identity through the design of packaging materials. Students will receive hands-on instruction in our state-of-the-art computer and print production labs. Students may choose an elective in Media Production, Packaging, Variable Data Publishing or Color Management.

Program Outcomes
- Create professional digital documents for various graphic media workflows.
- Integrate digital color techniques such as, color correction, process color, and spot color, into digital documents.
- Understand how digital documents are prepared for either the packaging sector or variable data publishing of a graphic media workflow.
New Student Admission Requirements
- 2.35 HS GPA (on a 4.0 scale) and/or 16/900 ACT/SAT
- Applicant should show proof of high school graduation with a 2.35 GPA (on a 4.00 scale). If it is determined by the College of Business Dean’s Office/Student Academic Affairs that regular program admission criteria should be met in order to complete the certificate successfully and be a contributing member of the course, all college transcripts should be submitted to the Admissions Office.
Transfer Student Admission Requirements
- 2.35 College GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
- No more than 50% of the credits may be transferred from another institution.

Notes
- Students who return to the university after an interrupted enrollment, not including summer semester, must normally meet the requirements of the curriculum which are in effect at the time of their return, not the requirements which were in effect when they were originally admitted.

Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate from Ferris State University, students must meet both University and Programmatic Graduation Requirements.
University Graduation Requirements
These are the minimum graduation requirements for an undergraduate certificate at Ferris State University:
- A GPA of 2.00 or higher must be achieved for the courses within the certificate.
- A minimum of 6 credits within the certificate must be earned.
- A minimum of 50 percent of certificate credits must be earned from Ferris State University to meet the Residency requirement.
Programmatic Graduation Requirements
These are the additional graduation requirements mandated by the program:
- All requirements as specified in the All Certificate Requirements section must be met.
- For students seeking a degree from Ferris State University, a maximum of 50 percent of the certificate credits can be from courses required in their program/major.
- A term prior to completion of the certificate, students must log into MyFSU and complete the “Apply for Graduation”. You will receive an email back with the next steps to take. Once this is done, the Graduation Secretary will notify the Registrar who will note the completion of the certificate.
