Undergraduate Certificate
The Certificate in Quality Technology allows students to increase their technical skills and experience with an understanding of the fundamentals of data analysis and experiment design. Major topics include statistics, statistical process control, statistical sampling, gauge R&R for attribute and variable gauges, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, and statistical Design of experiments. This quality expertise will increase your value and employability in such areas as manufacturing, quality, marketing, sales, human resources, and general management. The program prepares you to take the Certified Quality Exam (CQE) administered by the American Society of Quality.
This certificate is offered part-time at the Ferris Statewide Grand Rapids Location.

Program Outcomes
1. Students will be able to apply the core tools of quality to manufacturing problems.
2. Students will be able to apply design of experiment methodology to manufacturing problems.
New Student Admission Requirements
- Admitted to Ferris State University and in good academic standing.
- 2.50 High School GPA (on a 4.00 scale) ACT 17/SAT 900, MATH Score of ACT19/SAT 500
- Placement into MATH 116 /MATH 120

- Admitted to Ferris State University and in good academic standing.
- 2.00 College GPA (on a 4.00 scale)

- Students who return to the university after an interrupted enrollment, not including summer semester, must normally meet the requirements of the curriculum which are in effect at the time of their return, not the requirements which were in effect when they were originally admitted.

Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate from Ferris State University, students must meet both University and Programmatic Graduation Requirements. University Graduation Requirements
These are the minimum graduation requirements for an undergraduate certificate at Ferris State University:
- A GPA of 2.00 or higher must be achieved for the courses within the certificate.
- A minimum of 6 credits within the certificate must be earned.
- A minimum of 50 percent of certificate credits must be earned from Ferris State University to meet the Residency requirement.
Programmatic Graduation Requirements
These are the additional graduation requirements mandated by the program:
- All requirements as specified in the All Certificate Requirements section must be met.
- A minimum grade of C- must be earned in all certificate courses
