The Operations and Supply Chain Management Certificate program provides a comprehensive understanding of the key principles and practices that drive efficiency, productivity, and value within the operations and supply chain functions of organizations. This certificate is designed for individuals looking to enhance their expertise in optimizing processes, managing logistics, and improving supply chain strategies.
Throughout the program, participants will gain practical knowledge of core concepts such as inventory management, vertical integration, QCD modeling, procurement, lean operations, process optimization, and how to respond to various supply chain dynamic situations. The curriculum is focused on equipping learners with the tools and strategies necessary to meet the demands of today’s complex business and operations environment.

Program Outcomes
- Evaluate the supply chains of different businesses and how companies create competitive advantages using their supply chain management strategies.
- Design and deploy a process improvement system within a service organization that leads to a sustainable competitive advantage.
- Construct a data-based supplier assessment system for performance evaluation.
- Create an innovative and logistics system designed to establish a collaborative and synergistic product/service process flow.
New Student Admissions Requirements
- 2.35 HS GPA (on a 4.0 scale) and/or 16/900 ACT/SAT
- Applicant should show proof of high school graduation with a 2.35 GPA (on a 4.00 scale). If it is determined by the College of Business Dean’s Office/Student Academic Affairs that regular program admission criteria should be met in order to complete the certificate successfully and be a contributing member of the course, all college transcripts should be submitted to the Admissions Office.
Transfer Student Admissions Requirements
- 2.35 College GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
- No more than 50% of the credits may be transferred from another institution.

Students who return to the university after an interrupted enrollment, not including summer semester, must normally meet the requirements of the curriculum which are in effect at the time of their return, not the requirements which were in effect when they were originally admitted. In order to graduate from Ferris State University, students must meet both University and Programmatic Graduation Requirements. University Graduation Requirements
These are the minimum graduation requirements for an undergraduate certificate at Ferris State University: - A GPA of 2.00 or higher must be achieved for the courses within the certificate.
- A minimum of 6 credits within the certificate must be earned.
- A minimum of 50 percent of certificate credits must be earned from Ferris State University to meet the Residency requirement.
Programmatic Graduation Requirements
These are the additional graduation requirements mandated by the program: - All requirements as specified in the All Certificate Requirements section must be met.
- For students seeking a degree from Ferris State University, a maximum of 50 percent of the certificate credits can be from courses required in their program/major.
- A term prior to completion of the certificate, students must log into Ferris360 and complete the “Apply for Graduation”. You will receive an email back with the next steps to take. Once this is done, the Graduation Secretary will notify the Registrar who will note the completion of the certificate.
