ENGL 380 - History of Rhetoric - Style


This course is designed to study contemporary stylistic practices and theories of rhetoric. Students will explore the study of style as well as examine theories of rhetoric from classical to modern theorists. Using samples of written (English) texts, students consider the importance of rhetorical concerns, such as appropriateness, eloquence, audience awareness, and stylistic choices.
