EXSI 404 - Exercise Prescription for Healthy Populations


This course provides an in-depth exploration of the principles and practices involved in designing and implementing safe and effective exercise programs for healthy populations. Students will learn how to apply scientific principles and evidence-based guidelines to create personalized exercise prescriptions that promote health, fitness, and well-being. Key topics include the fundamentals of exercise prescription, such as frequency, intensity, time, and type (FITT principle), and the application of these principles to various modes of exercise, including aerobic, resistance, flexibility, and neuromotor training. Typically offered in Fall.
