ACCT 370 - Forensic Accounting

Topics covered include: principles and methodology of fraud detection and deterrence; ethical issues related to accounting and auditing; the nature of fraud and its effects on business organizations. Methods to prevent, detect, and investigate fraud will be explored in detail with a focus on management and financial statement fraud. Students will develop skills in preventing and detecting fraudulent activities. Offered Spring.
