The thesis allows students to explore, design, and solve a significant data science problem and document their report as a scientific thesis. This includes describing the rationale and significance of the problem, previous relevant efforts, a statement of theory, source materials, methodology, and results leading to a scientific conclusion. The thesis includes comprehensive project details to show the value of the work. The students are expected to pass a thesis examination conducted by a panel of the research area experts.
