EDUC 289 - Principles Teaching - Learning This course applies the psychological principles that are applicable to teaching and learning in a classroom. There is a specific emphasis on learning theory as it relates to the social, emotional, and physical development of late childhood through adolescents. Additionally, students will apply behavioral and cognitive theory to the classroom context with special consideration of diverse learners and cultures as well as technology integration. Teacher candidates will observe students in the 5-8 and 9-12 educational environment for 15 hours (required for state teacher certification).
